Make sure the outside vent flaps close properly and are not held open by snow, ice or lint. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Why does my LG dryer only show tE2 in winter? LG explains that cold outside air coming back through an open exhaust vent can trigger it. Vent flaps stuck open by frost, snow or lint are what LG asks you to check. ### Why does tE2 appear on steam cycles? The extra humidity of a steam cycle makes the duct cool faster, according to LG, which can push the thermistor reading out of range.
