Miele dryer display What to do when F1 shows on the dryer ### Kind of code Sensor circuit A thermistor or the moisture sensor bars reading outside their range, or the wiring to them. The reading is checked with a meter before any part is ordered. ### Usually leads to Controls and sensors A blank display, a panel that ignores buttons, codes, or cycles that end too soon or never end, traced to the board, timer or sensors. ### Shows up as Dryer Not Heating The drum turns and the cycle runs, but the air stays cool and the clothes come out damp. ### Make Miele Compact European dryers, mostly heat-pump models that dry at lower temperatures without an outdoor vent. ### Source Miele USA customer assistance, tumble dryer code F1 (Wayback copy) Miele heat-pump tumble dryers, which carry refrigerant sensors. ## Before you book, in this order. Power the dryer off at its switch. If it comes back, it needs a visit. ### Will clearing the filters fix F1 on my Miele dryer? No. F1 reports an electrical short in a refrigerant temperature sensor, which cleaning cannot affect. ### Where is the sensor behind F1? It sits in the heat-pump refrigerant circuit, which is why Miele reserves the repair for a technician. --- **[Read on the site: Miele dryer showing F1 | DryerRepair.center](https://dryerrepair.center/error-codes/miele-f1/)** **[Book a visit with DryerRepair.center](https://dryerrepair.center/schedule/)**
