This form is all the booking there is. It asks for no card, and nothing is owed until a technician has seen the dryer and explained what it needs. ## What the form asks, and why. What you write here reaches the technician before the visit, so the right belt, fuse or element is more likely to be on the van. None of it binds you: the price follows the diagnosis. That settles who comes and which parts ride along. ### Step two A time slot Choose a day and an arrival slot. There is no waiting at home from morning to evening. ### Step three Where the laundry room is The address and a phone number. Mention a basement, a closet or a second-floor laundry, and any code for the gate. ## After you book, the visit. The three steps above are the booking. If a new dryer is the wiser choice, you are told that as well. 03 ### The right part Belts, fuses and common elements travel on the van. A part made for one model is ordered by its model number, so supplying it at booking can save a trip. 04 ### Repair and a test load The repair is finished and the dryer is run through a heated cycle while the technician is there, with the exhaust temperature and the airflow checked, not assumed. ## Before the technician arrives. Leave it switched off if it smells hot, trips the breaker or smells of gas. ### Copy any code If the display shows a code, write each character down in order. The same code can mean something different on another make. ### Make room around it Take out the laundry and clear the floor in front and the path from the door. What the repair is and what it costs are explained after the diagnosis, and no work starts until you agree. ### Where do I look for the model number? Usually on a label around the door opening or on the back of the cabinet. If you cannot reach it, book anyway: the technician reads it on arrival. ### Can I call rather than fill in the form? Yes. The number and the hours sit at the top of every page. The form reaches the same people and does not wait for someone to answer. ### What happens if the dryer is not worth repairing? The technician tells you at the diagnosis and gives the reason, before any repair is priced.
