Book a visit

Three short steps, about a minute.

or call (844) 314-5837

Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from GE Profile's own guidance for Pause on its dryers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Make sure the door is fully closed.

02

Press Start to resume the cycle.

03

If Pause returns without anyone touching the panel, book a visit.

Cleared?

No part needed replacing. If the next full load still comes out damp or the dryer shuts off early, treat that as a separate problem.

What not to do

Pause is not a code that needs clearing. Nothing has failed.

What you may
notice with it.

The dryer problems Pause tends to arrive with. Answer these at the dryer before anyone is booked.

All problems

No repair indicated

Nothing to repair.

A setting someone switched on, or a prompt the dryer shows by design — a child lock, a clean-the-lint-screen reminder, a demo setting. Nothing has failed and no part is needed.

Questions
about Pause.

Can I clear Pause myself?
Make sure the door is fully closed.
My GE Profile shows Pause and won't restart. What am I missing?
The door has to be closed before the dryer will start again, so check that first, then press Start.
Does Pause on a GE Profile reset the cycle time?
No. Pressing Start picks the cycle up again from where it was paused.

Still showing Pause?

Book with the code exactly as displayed, the whole model number, and whether you smell burning or gas — for a code, that is where the diagnosis starts.
