Before you book,
in this order.

Each step comes from LG SIGNATURE's own guidance for PS on its dryers. Follow it to the end: the last card says whether this is a visit.

01

Reset the breaker or replace the fuse, without raising the fuse capacity.

02

On an electric model, check how the power cord is connected at the terminal block.

03

If a circuit overload is the cause, have a qualified electrician correct it; book a visit if the code stays.

Questions
about PS.

Can I clear PS myself?
Reset the breaker or replace the fuse, without raising the fuse capacity. If it comes back, it needs a visit.
Can a power outage bring up PS or PF on my LG Signature dryer?
Yes, the manual lists a power outage alongside a blown fuse or tripped breaker as causes. If the code stays after power returns and the breaker is reset, book a visit.
Why does the Signature manual warn against a bigger fuse when PS appears?
A larger fuse would hide a circuit overload instead of fixing it. LG's instruction is to keep the fuse capacity as specified and have an overload corrected by a qualified electrician.

Still showing PS?

Book with the code exactly as displayed, the whole model number, and whether you smell burning or gas — for a code, that is where the diagnosis starts.
