to LG SIGNATURE.
The Signature dryer is sold as the DLEX9500K electric and DLGX9501K gas models, and the LUWM101HWA puts a washer and a heat-pump dryer in one cabinet. Only the gas model needs its supply line and burner checked on a no-heat call.
Storage under a sliding lid
The Signature dryer has a lid on top that slides back to reveal small storage compartments. It is easy to forget during a service call, so empty it before the technician arrives.
A duct reading with a hard stop
The Signature manual groups d80, d90 and d95 as a duct 80 to 95 percent blocked and says not to run the dryer until the exhaust is cleaned or repaired. On this model a high Flow Sense reading is treated as a fire-risk stop, not a maintenance hint.
Steam from a feeder drawer
Steam cycles draw water from a feeder that is filled by hand to a MAX line, and the manual warns against distilled water because the level sensor in the steam generator cannot read it. A steam complaint is often the feeder rather than the generator.
A combo on a 120-volt outlet
The Signature washer-dryer combo dries with an inverter heat pump and is rated for a 120-volt, 10-amp supply. It has no exhaust duct, so slow drying on it is traced inside the cabinet rather than to a vent.
Parts
Sensors and heating parts are shared across much of LG's range, but Signature trim, lid and steam components can take longer to arrive than LG's everyday parts. Confirming the exact model before the visit shortens that wait.
Repair or replace
A Signature dryer is a premium purchase, usually bought as a matched pair, so a sensor, heater or steam repair almost always costs less than replacing it. The exception is a unit whose main board is no longer supplied.
