actually means.
HC is Samsung's heating code: the dryer is getting too hot, most often because a clogged lint screen or vent is trapping heat. Less often, an electric model shows it when low voltage leaves the heater too cool.

What to do when HC shows on the dryerKind of codeHeating
The dryer expected heat and did not get it, or got it too slowly. On an electric model the element and its wiring; on a gas model the igniter, the flame sensor and the valve coils. A blocked vent is ruled out first.

Stop the cycle and clean the lint screen.
Clean the exhaust vent or have it cleaned, and check the duct for crushing or kinks.
On an electric dryer, have an electrician check the supply voltage; book a visit if HC returns.
