Who writes
the guides.

Our dryer articles come from the technicians who climb behind these machines in laundry closets and basements. A typical starting point is a load still damp after a full cycle, a drum that will not turn, a burning smell, or a display showing a code the owner cannot find explained.

We leave out brands we do not service and codes that no maker has put in writing. When a manual or safety agency states something, the article links to it; when a point comes only from our own service calls, the text tells you that is where it came from.

How a guide
is written.

Four rules every guide on this site follows, from the first question to the last revision.

01

Rooted in the laundry room

Article ideas come from what people describe when they request a dryer visit, along with the simple checks, such as a clogged lint screen or a crushed vent hose, that often explain the problem.

02

Tied to the owner's manual

Model details, venting limits and code meanings are drawn from the manufacturer's installation, use and care or service documents, with a link placed next to the claim.

03

Safety agencies for fire and energy facts

Statements about dryer fires, vent cleaning, recalls and efficiency rest on USFA, NFPA, CPSC and ENERGY STAR publications, reproduced as those agencies word them and linked.

04

Revision dates in plain view

Readers can see when a dryer article first went up and when it was most recently edited, and we rewrite it if an agency or maker updates the source it depends on.

Questions about
the guides.

Who writes the dryer articles on this site?
They come from the technicians who carry out the dryer repairs booked here. Their field notes are measured against the manufacturer's printed instructions wherever a maker has released them.
Is any dryer manufacturer involved in what gets published?
None is. We operate as an independent repair company, and no appliance brand funds, edits or signs off on our writing.
How can I flag something wrong in a dryer article?
Reach us through the contact page and tell us which article and which statement look incorrect. After we verify the fix, the article shows a newer edit date.
